A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO LEVY
AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1981-82
WITHIN THE WEST RAMONA LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPE
AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972; AND FIXING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS THERETO
WHEREAS, the City Council ordered the Engineer to prepare a
report pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 1, Division 15 of the said Streets
and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer did prepare and file such a report and
the same was approved by the City Council on the 20th day of May, 1981
by Resolution No. 81-37.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience requires
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
to levy and collect assessments within the West Ramona Landscape and
Lighting Maintenance District for fiscal year 1981-1982 within which the
following work is to be done; to wit:
1. Maintenance and servicing of landscaping.
2. Maintenance and servicing of lighting.
3. Any and all work and materials appurtenant thereto.
SECTION 2. The foregoing described work is to be located within
streets and easements within said Assessment District, the boundary of
which is more particularly described on a map on file in the City Clerk's
office entitled West Ramona Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District,
City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California",
consisting of two 2) sheets filed in the office of the City Clerk the
13th day of May, 1981. Said District generally consists of Tract 39090
and Tract 39635. The contemplated work, in the opinion of the City Council,
is of benefit to, and the City Council hereby makes the expense of the said
work, chargeable upon a district, which said district is assessed to pay
the costs and expenses thereof, which district is described as:
All that certain territory of the City of Baldwin Park,
exclusive of public streets within that certain area
shown on a boundary map on file and open to inspection
in the City Clerk's office titled West Ramona Landscaping
and Lighting Maintenance District", consisting of two 2)
sheets.
SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to the report of the
Engineer on file with the City Clerk and open to inspection, for a full
detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the Assessment
District and any zones therein and the proposed assessments upon assessable
lots and parcels of land within the District.
SECTION 4. Notice is hereby given that on the 3r'd, day of June,
1981, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Council
in the City Halt, Baldwin Park, California, any and a11 persons having any
objections to the work or extent of the assessment district, may appear
and show cause why said work should not be done or carried out or why said
district should not be assessed in accordance with this Resolution of
Intention. Protests must be in writing and must be filed with the City
Clerk prior to the conclusion of the hearing. Any such protest shall
state all grounds of the objection and if filed by a property owner shall
contain a description sufficient to identify the property.
SECTION 5. Alt the work herein proposed shall be done in
accordance with the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, being Part 2 of

Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall cause notice of the hearing to
be given by causing the Resolution of Intention to be published, posted
and mailed in the manner required by Part 2 of Division 15 of the Streets
and Highways Code.
