A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK SUPPORTING SB-215 FORAN)AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park has an extensive investment
in its roads, streets and highways;
WHEREAS, those roads, streets and highways provide the City
and its residents with means to traverse those streets in contort and
safety,
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park in the past made use of tax
derived from the sale of gas to provide new construction and required
maintenance from those same roads, streets and highways.
LET IT BE KNOWN, that since there has
gas tax for some time, the City has experienced
monies to use in the construction of new roads,
of the existing street system,
not been an increase in
a decrease in available
as well as the maintenance
LET IT BE FURTHER KNOWN, that the Council of the City of
Baldwin Park is concerned over finding ways to finance the expense of
the upkeep of our street system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park hereby does support SB-215 Foran) if amended as
proposed by the League of California Cities.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
