A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK ORDERING ANNEXATION NO. 1 AND THE LEVY
AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1981-82
FOR ANNEXATION NO. 1 TO THE WEST RAMONA LANDSCAPE AND
LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT PURSUANT TO THE LANDS-
CAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park did on the 3rd day
of June, 1981, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 81-46 to order Annexation
No. 1, and to levy and collect assessment for fiscal year 1981-82 for Annexation
No. 1 to the West Ramona Landscape Lighting Maintenance District, which Resolution
of Intention No. 81-46 was duly and legally published in the time, form and manner
as required by law, shown by the Affidavit of Publication of said Resolution of
Intention on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said City Council having duly received considered evidence, oral
and documentary, concerning the jurisdiction facts in this proceeding and
concerning the necessity for the contemplated work and the benefits to be derived
therefrom, and said City Council having now acquired jurisdiction to order the
proposed assessment;
SECTION 1. It is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park that the report filed by the Engineer is hereby finally approved;
and
SECTION 2. Be it further resolved that the public interest and convenience
requires the ordering of Annexation No. 1 and the levy and collection of assess-
ments for fiscal year 1981-82, and said City Council hereby orders Annexation
No. 1 and the levy and collection of assessments for Annexation No. 1 to the
West Ramona Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance District, as set forth and
described in said Resolution of Intention No. 81-46 be done and made; and
SECTION 3, Be it further resolved that the adoption of this Resolution
constitutes the levy of the assessments as set forth in the Engineer's Report
for the fiscal year 1981-82; and
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file a
certified copy of the diagram and assessment with the county auditor of the
County of Los Angeles not later than the third Monday in August.
