A RESOLTUION OF THE COUNCIL OF TOE CITY CF
BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA DETERMINING THAT
CERTAIN SbW< IMPROVEMENTS ADJX2NT TO TEE
SAN GABRIEL RIVER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT ARE
OF BENEFIT TO THE PROJECT AREA AND THAT NO
OTHER REASONABLE MEANS OP FINANCING SUCH
IMPROVEMENTS OTHER THAN THROUGH REDEVELOEMENT
IS ABAIIABLE,
WHEREAS, on Decenber 2, 1976, this Council adopted by Ordinance No. 745
the Redevelopment Plan for the San Gabriel River Redevelopment Project Area;
and
WHEREAS, said Plan provides for certain public improvements, including
sewer improvements, v^iich may be located inside or outside the Project Area
upon the finding of the legislative body that such improvements are of bene-
fit to the Project Area; and
WHEREAS, a report is attached hereto which describes certain sewer
improvements adjacent to the Project Area and which finds that such improve-
ments have been designed to minimize cost while maximizing benefit to the
Project Area; and
WHEREAS, the City has no Other feasible way to finance such improve-
ments other than through Itedevelqproent.
NOW, TOEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TOE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Council finds that the sewer improvements described
in the report attached hereto as Exhibit A, are of benefit to the Project
Area.
SECTION 2. The Council hereby determines that utilization of the
Redevelopment process to finance such improvements is the only reasonable
means of financing such improvements'.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of
this Resolution and it shall be in full force and effect.
