A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK WITHDRAWING ALL THAT PORTION
OR THAT PART OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
CONTAINED WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY
LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1770
WHEREAS, County Lighting Maintenance District No. 1770 was heretofore
formed by and is under the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Los Angeles under and pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 26
of Part 3 of Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said district is included within the boundaries
of the City of Baldwin Park by reason of annexation; and
WHEREAS, said portion contained within the boundaries of the City of
Baldwin Park shall continue to remain a part of the district for all pur-
poses until a copy of the Resolution adopted by the City requesting
exclusion of such territory from the District is received by the Board of
Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park desires to withdraw all portions of
said City located within the boundaries of County Lighting Maintenance
District No. 1770;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 5853 of Chapter 26, Part 3,
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, all that portion of the City of
Baldwin Park located within the boundaries of the
County Lighting Maintenance District No. 1770 is
hereby withdrawn, and the Board of Supervisors is
requested to exclude said territory from said
District.
Section 2. The Board of Supervisors of the County of
Los Angeles is hereby requested to exclude the
territory of the City of Baldwin Park from said
District, and to authorize the distribution and dis-
bursement of all property, funds, and assets of said
District in accordance with the terms and provisions
of Chapter 26, Part 3, Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution and shall file a certified copy
with the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Los Angeles.
