A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK SHALL BE THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the California Industrial Financing Act, Title 10
commencing with Section 91500), Government Code the Act"), has established
an industrial development authority of this City to provide an alternative
and additional method of capital finance to undertake the acquisition,
construction or rehabilitation of facilities, the use of which will increase
opportunities for useful employment or otherwise contribute to economic
development; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has heretofore adopted Ordinance
No. 834 declaring the need for the Industrial Development Authority of the
City of Baldwin Park and that such Authority shall function; and
WHEREAS, this City Council is authorized by Section 91523 of the
Act to declare itself to be the Board of Directors of such Authority; and
WHEREAS, this City Council finds that the public interest wilt
be served and that the public health, safety and welfare wilt be promoted
in an effective manner if this City Council declares itself to be the Board
of Directors of such Authority,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 91523 of the
Act, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park hereby declares itself
to be the Board of Directors of the Industrial Development Authority of
the City of Baldwin Park, and a11 the rights, powers, privileges, duties,
liabilities, disabilities, and immunities vested in the Board of Directors
of such Authority by the Act shall be vested in this City Council as such
Board of Directors.
SECTION 2. The City Council shall serve in the capacity of the
Board of Directors of the Industrial Development Authority of the City of
Baldwin Park without compensation.
SECTION 3. No resolution otherwise providing for directors has
been previously adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of/ebruary, 1982.
