HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982 024 CC RESO1982 024 CC RESO(ÌììpeRESOLUTION NO. 82-24 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF PORTIONS OF INTERSECTION LOCATIONS: LIVE OAK AVENUE AND RIVERGRADE ROAD, LIVE OAK AVENUE AND UNITED PIPE CO. DRIVEWAY, AND ARROW HIGHWAY AND MAINE AVENUE, WITHIN SAID CITY AS A PART OF THE SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AND SAID CONSENT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONVERTING HIGH- WAY SAFETY LIGHTS AND PERFORMING INCIDENTAL WORK AS MAY BE NECESSARY BY THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES. WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors did on January 26, 1982, duly adopt a Resolution declaring those portions of the intersections within the City of Baldwin Park to be a part of the System of Highways of the County of Los Angeles, alt as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said Resolution re- quested this Council to give its consent to at tow the County to convert the highway safety lights to high pressure sodium and perform incidental work on said intersections in the City of Baldwin Park listed below; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15101, Class 1 c) of the State Guidelines, the Secretary of Resources designated this type of project as categorically exempt. NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Consent to Inclusion in County Highways System This City Council does hereby consent to the establishment of those portions of the intersection locations: Live Oak Avenue and Rivergrade Road, Live Oak Avenue and United Pipe Co. Driveway, and Arrow Highway and Maine Avenue, within the City of Baldwin Park, as a part of the System of Highways of the County of Los Angeles as provided in Section 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Said consent is for the purpose of converting highway safety lights and performing incidental work as may be necessary by the County of Los Angeles. SECTION 2. Finding of Categorical Exemption This City Council does hereby find that: The project is categorically exempt from the requirement for an Environmental Impact Report pursuant to Class 1 c) of the State of California's Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published or posted in the manner prescribed by law.
