A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE
VACATION OF THAT PORTION OF MERGED AVENUE,
40 FEET WIDE. LOCATED SOUTH OF LIVE OAK
AVENUE AND NORTH OF NUBIA AVENUE
REFER TO EXHIBIT A" 82-V-1)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. In accordance with the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941", the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, did on the 17th day
of February, 1982 adopt its Resolution of Merced Avenue, 40 Feet Wide, Located
South of Live Oak Avenue and North of Nubia Avenue Refer to Exhibit A" 82-V-1)
in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California as de-
scribed herein; and
SECTION 2. Said Resolution of Intention was duly published and notice
of street vacation duly posted, all in the form, place, time and manner required
by law and a11 legal requirements have been met; and
SECTION 3. This City Council, at the hearing designated by said
Resolution of Intention, on the 17th day of March, 1982, heard all of the
evidence offered in relation to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 4. That the said area of Merced Avenue, hereafter described,
is not needed for present or prospective public street purposes, due to the
construction of Commerce Drive. Therefore, that portion of Merced Avenue, de-
scribed as follows:
The Westerly 40 feet of Parcel Map 814, in the City of
Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 41, Page 60 of Parcel Maps
in the Office of the County Recorder of said County be,
and the same hereby is ordered vacated.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the
passage of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested
by her under the seat of the City to be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder, Los Angeles, County, California.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of March, 1982.
