A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF MERGED AVENUE LOCATED SOUTH OF LIVE OAK AVENUE
AND NORTH OF NUBIA AVENUE. 82-V-1)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of Baldwin Park does hereby
find, determine and resolve as follows:
a) In accordance with the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941", the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, did
on the 17th day of February, 1982, adopt its Resolution of
Intention No. 82-13, declaring its intention to vacate that
Portion of Merced Avenue, 40 feet wide, located south of Live
Oak Avenue and north of Nubia Avenue, in the City of Baldwin
Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as described
on Exhibit A" 82-V-1 attached hereto, and incorporated herein
by this reference; and
b) That said Resolution of Intention was duty published and
notice of street vacation duty posted, alt in the form, place,
and manner required by law and a11 legal requirements have been
met; and
c) That this City Council, at the hearing designated by said
Resolution of Intention, on the 17th day of March, 1982, heard
a11 of the evidence offered in relation to the proposed vacation; and
d) That based upon the evidence presented at said hearing, it
appears that said portion of Merced Avenue wi11 not be necessary
for present or prospective public street purpose, by reason of
the construction of Commerce Drive.
SECTION 2. That that portion of Merced Avenue, dedicated for
public street purposes per document number 3071, recorded August 9, 1972,
in Book D5561, Page 141 of Official Records in the Office of the Recorder
of said County be, and the same hereby is vacated.
SECTION 3. That Resolution No. 82-26 is hereby repeated.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
to the passage of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof,
to be recorded in the Office of tne County Recorder, Uos Angeles County,
California. /
