HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982 087 CC RESO1982 087 CC RESO(ÌìêòRESOLUTION NO. 82-87 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE WHETHER PUBLIC NECESSITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, OR WELFARE REQUIRES THE FORMATION OF UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICTS DISTRICTS 4 and 5) BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park as follows: WHEREAS, Section 6700 of the City of Baldwin Park Municipal Code establishes a procedure for the creation of underground utility districts and requires as the initial step in such procedure the holding of a public hearing to ascertain whether public necessity, health, safety, or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and fac- ilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service in any such district; and WHEREAS, it has been recommended that such underground utility district, hereinafter ca11 Districts, be formed in the areas generally described as follows: DISTRICT N / That portion of Live Oak Avenue located within the City of Baldwin Park and extending from the Westerly line of Rivergrade Road to the Easterly line of Parcel Map 1028. Please refer to Exhibit A". DISTRICT 5 That portion of Maine Avenue and adjacent properties bound by Los Angeles Street and Ramona Boulevard located within the General Commercial Zone. Please refer to Exhibit B". NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved as follows: 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park on December 15, 1982, at the hour of 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the City Halt, Baldwin Park, California, to ascertain whether the public necessity, health, safety or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated over- head structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar associated services in the Districts hereinabove described. 2. At such hearing a11 persons interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard. Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be determined by the City Council. 3. The City Clerk shall notify a11 affected property owners as shown on the last equalized assessment ro11 and utilities concerned of the time and place of such hearing by mailing a copy of this resolution to such propoerty owners and utilities concerned at least ten 10) days prior to the date thereof. 4. The areas proposed to be included in the Districts are shown upon those certain maps entitled. Underground Utility District No. 4 and Underground Utility District No. 5 which are-^on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park. / 1982.
