RESOLUTION NO. 82-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO DISESTABLISH PARKING
AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA NO. 1
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby finds, determines and
declares as follows:
a) That pursuant to the provisions of Section 36500 et
seq., of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
the City Council did on November 17, 1982, adopt Ordinance No,
842 which established a Citywide Business Improvement Area to
commence on January 1, 1983;
b) That said Citywide Business Improvement Area includes
within its boundaries that area currently identified as Parking
and Business Improvement Area No. 1 which was established by
Ordinance No. 802 adopted on October 17, 1979; and
c) That it was the intention of the City Council that
upon establishment of the Citywide Business Improvement Area,
said Parking and Business Improvement Area No. 1 would be
disestablished, that all fees and charges applicable thereto
would cease, and that businesses within the boundaries of
said Area No. 1 would be subject to the fees and other
provisions of Ordinance No. 842.
SECTION 2. That based upon the above determinations, the City
Council hereby declares its intention to disestablish Parking and Business
Improvement Area No. 1 effective January 1, 1983.
SECTION 3. That a public hearing concerning the disestablishment
of said Area will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 1982 at 7:00 P.M.,
or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the City Council
Chambers of the City Hall, in the City of Baldwin Park.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed
by law, and shall mail a copy of this Resolution to all businesses within
the Parking and Business Improvement Area No. 1.
PASSED and APPROVED this 1st day of Decoflber, 1982.
