A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DESIGNATING A
REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA FOR STUDY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
desires that the area hereinafter described be studied to determine
if a redevelopment project within this area is feasible; and
WHEREAS/ the City Council desires that a redevelopment
project be initiated within this area should it be found that
such a project is feasible; and
WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the California Community
Redevelopment Law Health and Safety Code, Sections 33000, et
seq.) provides that redevelopment survey areas may be designated
by resolution of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
hereby designates as a Redevelopment Survey Area that area described
on Exhibit A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part
hereof.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
hereby finds that the said designated area requires study to
determine if a redevelopment project within the area is feasible.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
That portion of Lot 1 of Tract No. 3278, as shown on map
recorded in Book 36, page 41 of Maps, in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, and that portion
of the Rancho La Puente, as shown on map recorded in Book 1, page
43 of Patents, in said office, all in the City of Baldwin Park,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, included within the
following described lines:
Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of the land described
in Parcel 1 of Highway Easement Deed State Parcel B3080) recorded
November 15, 1965 in Book D3114, page 638 of Official Records in
said office; thence along the Easterly prolongation of that course
described as S 84° 08' 11" W, 71.62 feet in said Parcel 1 of
Highway Easement Deed State Parcel B3080), N 84° 08' 11" E,
159.91 feet; thence S 82° 13' 03" E, 141.29 feet; thence S 59° 06'
04" E, 148.59 feet; thence S 39° 30' 56" E, 102.57 feet; thence
S 15° 26' 03" E, 169.00 feet; thence S 05° 08' 08" W, 488.25 feet/-
thence S 10° 35' 26" W, 167.55 feet to the Northeasterly corner
of the land described in Parcel 4 of Director's Deed DD 014037-02-01
recorded March 12, 1976 in Book D7001, page 299 of said Official
Records? thence along the Northerly and Northwesterly lines of
last said described land the following two courses: N 79° 24'
34" W, 77.00 feet and S 48° 02' 13" W, 145.00 feet to a point in
the Northerly side line of that 500-foot wide strip of land
described in Parcels 156 and 157 of Final Order of Condemnation
filed in Superior Court Case No. 625315, certified copies of
which are recorded in Book 49382, page 133 and in Book 54063, page
14, respectively, of said Official Records, said point being the most
Westerly corner of the land described in said Parcel 4; thence along
said Northerly side line S 82° 08' 15" W, 27.89 feet to the beginning
of a tangent curve in said Northerly side line being concave
Southerly and having a radius of 2050.00 feet; thence Westerly
along said curve and said Northerly side line and the Northerly
line of the parcel of land conveyed to the Los Angeles County
Flood Control District by deed recorded in Book 41585, page 386 of
said Official Records, through an angle of 17° 33' 50", an arc
distance of 628-42 feet to said Easterly line of the parcel of
land described in deed to Southern California Edison Company;
thence along said Easterly line the following two courses: N 13°
54' 21" E, 16.05 feet and N 15° 44' 54" E, 1270.12 feet to the
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
