A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ESTABLISHING
A CITY COUNCIL ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR
THE CITYWIDE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLCW:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to the provisions of Section 36500
et seq., of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the
City Council did on November 17, 1982, adopt Ordinance No. 842 which
established a Citywide Business Improvement Area in the City of Baldwin
Park to commence on January 1, 1983.
b) That in accordance with Section 9 of Ordinance No.
842 the City Council is now establishing a City Council Advisory
Committee hereinafter Committee").
c) That the function of said Committee shall be to
advise and make recommendations to the City Council on the operation
and extent of the Citywide Business Improvement Area hereinafter Area")
and the methods and ways in which the revenue from the levy of the business
license charge imposed by Ordinance No. 842 might be used. Said respon-
sibilities shall include the following:
1) Review the annual budget for the Area
submitted by the Baldwin Park Business Association.
2) Review any reports and/or recommendations
received from the Baldwin Park Business Association
relative to the fee classifications and percentages
established by said Ordinance, the relative benefit
of promotional activities to the various business
types assessed pursuant to said Ordinance, and make
any appropriate recommendations to the Council regard-
ing revisions to Ordinance No. 842 or related policies
prior to June 30 of each year.
3) Perform such other powers and duties as the
City Council may direct.
d) That said Committee shall be comprised of eight
members as follows:
The Mayor
One City Councilman: Robert H. McNeitI
The President of the Baldwin Park Chamber
of Commerce
The President of the Baldwin Park Business
Association
One individual whose business is within
Classification A of the fee schedule
in Ordinance No. 842: Mike Sencer
One individual whose business is within
Classification B of said Ordinance:
Joe Angelo
Two individuals whose businesses are within
Classification C of said Ordinance:
Angelo Medina and Jack Wallace
e) That the terms of service for each Committee member,
with the exception of City elected officials, shall be for one year,
expiring December 31 of each year, except in the event of resignation or
reappointment.

f) That said Connittee shall meet at such times as
are determined appropriate by the Ccannittee.
SECTION 2. That a City Council Advisory Carroittee be, and
hereby is, established.
SECTION 3, That Resolution No. 79-130 is hereby repealed
and rescinded.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
