A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZE UNDER SB 821 AND
APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ITS PEDESTRIAN PLAN
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that 2% of each County's total local
Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development
of bicycle and pedestrian facilities;
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park has planned pedestrian
facilities in conformance with the City of Baldwin Park specifications
and State requirements;
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park desires to construct the
pedestrian facilities within their City utilizing the funds available
under SB 821;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does resolve as follows:
1) To adopt the pedestrian facilities system in conformance
with specifications of the City of Baldwin Park and
State requirements;
2) To authorize J. Richard Smith, City Engineer, as the City's
authorized signature and designated contact person;
3) To apply for a11 funds available to the City of Baldwin Park
allocated for pedestrian facilities SB 821)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20ty day of July_____, 1983.
